ISU FPM Wins Fourth IRPE Silver Achievement

Iowa State University Facilities Planning and Management has been awarded the Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence Silver achievement award for the fourth year in a row.

IRPE Silver Trophy

This award recognizes the ongoing efforts of the FPM organization in realizing its purpose of developing, operating, and maintaining facilities to serve the University community. It also serves to endorse the efforts of the organization on its quest to achieve the vision of becoming world-class. All FPM staff can take pride in this achievement.

The Iowa Recognition for Performance Excellence (IRPE) is an assessment process based on a fifty page application telling the FPM story along with a site visit by a review team to examine the practices utilized by the FPM organization. Over the past years, FPM as been an active participant in not only applying for the review, but also providing a large number of staff as volunteers to be examiners for other IRPE participants. FPM also received the 2004 and 2006 IRPE Leadership commitment award.

FPM and other award recipients were formally recognized on May 7, 2009 at the Hy-Vee Conference Center in West Des Moines.
