Utility Locates
Go On-line By Randy Larabee and Lynette Evans Utilities Electrical Distribution worked with the Computer Support staff to create a web-based utility locates request form. The on-line request form is available on the FP&M external page in the Online forms box. The web form is very similar to the paper form except the map requirement has been simplified. To request locates on campus, the requester can enter a building name and give an approximate distance and direction from a building. They can also use the notes field to list additional information to assist the locator. In the event that the building list does not work for your request or the locate is away from the main campus, you can use the second notes box to describe the location and type of work. This form can be used to request locates for ISU facilities located in Story or Boone County only. If you have a locate request at other facilities please call Iowa One Call at 1-800-292-8989 and they will notify the appropriate utilities. There is a link to our policy on how locates are completed that you can also review. The form will be sent automatically to Electric Distribution and you will receive confirmation via e-mail with a locate reference number. Please use the form and contact Randy Larabee (294-2716) or Tony Selch (294-5340) if you have questions or comments. Custodial Services soon to be On-line By Dick Reckseen Custodial Services in conjunction with the Computer Support staff is developing a web page that will promote our department and provide a valuable service to our customers. This page will allow our customers to access information about the custodial teams and provide a basic understanding of the team design and starpoint structure. Information about the teams mission and vision, the team members and the buildings they service, and the standards and frequencies of service will be available as well. This site is also the home of a pilot program that will allow customers to request basic services through the web and the teams and facilitators the means to address and monitor the performance of these requests. Although this site is not up and running yet, it promises to be an innovative and exciting way for our department to meet the needs of our customers. |
