Building Information
EH&S maintains maps of university buildings that contain various elements of emergency information, including:
- evacuation routes and meeting places
- fire extinguisher and fire alarm pull station locations
- severe weather shelter areas
- automated external defibrillator (AED) locations
- safety showers
To view emergency maps, select your building from the drop-down list below.
If no information is available or your building does not appear on the drop-down list, please contact EH&S at (515) 294-5359 or ehsinfo@iastate.edu. Individual building information is available from FP&M Building Information. Please note that not all buildings are equipped with all of the safety equipment listed above.
Building Weather Coordinators
Each building's designated Weather Coordinator receives severe weather warnings and initiates the building notification plan when there is a severe weather threat. The coordinator is responsible for developing a notification plan for their building and identifying severe weather shelter locations. A notification plan ensures building occupants are alerted to imminent severe weather and know where to go, and where to lead visitors, for shelter.
To update your building's Weather Coordinator or to request assistance in developing a notification plan for your building, please contact EH&S at (515) 294-5359 or ehsinfo@iastate.edu.
