This is an advance notice of a scheduled outage required on the Memorial Union to allow work on the high voltage system to be completed. This date and time has been scheduled with the Memorial Union Staff and I want any feedback with concerns or issues from others outside the Memorial Union at this time. Most likely the building will be closed and all exterior doors locked during this outage. I will re-send this notice about 3 weeks prior to the outage and send out a final outage notice the week before. Thanks
Our goal is to provide three days notice prior to a shutdown.
Due to maintenance or construction activities, we must schedule a temporary interruption of utility service in or near your building or a building occupied by your department.
Please inform/share information regarding this PROPOSED utility outage with others in your building or department to assure that we have the input of all affected faculty/staff.
Reply to the coordinator (listed above) with any issues or concerns. If this proposed interruption will not work for you, contact the coordinator with suggestions for an alternate date and time.
Contact your building area mechanic for an explanation of how this interruption might affect your specific building.
NOTE: Weather may alter these scheduled dates. We will attempt to keep you informed of major schedule changes.
