Facilities Services |

Facilities Services provides professional
maintenance and repair of university facilities. Facilities Services
operates, maintains, and repairs the physical environment and
provides support services for the university. This includes the
buildings, research laboratories, athletic complexes, and grounds of
the university campus and outlying facilities. Below is a review of
the divisions within Facilities Services. If you have any general

| Building Maintenance |
|
Building Maintenance maintains and develops mechanical, electrical,
structural, and environmental systems associated with campus facilities. This includes
regular and preventive maintenance, carpentry, painting, and heating, ventilation, and air
conditioning (HVAC). Energy management staff operate the building automation system. The
building automation system is interconnected campus-wide to operate the heating, cooling,
security, and fire safety systems for most buildings. This building automation system is
controlled from a central location to monitor, adjust, and optimize the operation.
Building Maintenance also manages in-house remodeling and repair projects. Area mechanics
are distributed throughout the campus buildings to provide more immediate response to

| Campus Services |
|
Campus Services maintains the exterior physical environment of the campus
grounds, comprising 1,984 acres, for the safe enjoyment of students, faculty, and staff.
In addition they provide services such as, snow removal, refuse removal, recycling
service, pest control, and equipment operations. If you have any questions regarding

| Custodial Services |
|
Custodial Services is responsible for general housekeeping in all
academic and administrative buildings to maintain interior building appearance and
sanitary conditions. Thirteen self-directed teams, with approximately nine members each,
are directly responsive to their areas of assignment. Their services include regular
cleaning, trash removal, snow removal from the building entries, and light bulb
replacement. They move furniture only when it is associated with their cleaning process.
They are available to perform special assigned tasks upon request, such as preparation and
cleanup requirements for conferences and special events. If you have any questions

| Maintenance Support |
|
Maintenance Support assists other services within FP&M by providing
technical and statistical support including electrical/mechanical and mobile/vehicle
planned maintenance programs. Additional responsibilities include administering outside
contracts for operational and safety inspections and follow-up repair records for
elevators, autoclaves, and other similar equipment. They also oversee in-house inspection
records and schedules for the fire alarm and fire extinguishing systems. If you have any
