How FP&M Prioritizes & Processes
Requests |
| Emergency repair requests |
|
FP&M will issue a work order to the service manager the same day for
implementation. Work is prioritized on the basis of the impact to the university
community. |
| Minor repair and improvement requests |
|
FP&M will process these requests and prioritize them based on the
impact to the university community. |
| Major repair and improvement requests |
|
FP&M will process these requests and prioritize them based on the
impact to the university community and available funding. Requests over $5,000 are
reported to the university Maintenance and Improvement Committee (MIC). FP&M routes
requests that will change an areas intended use or function through Space Management
and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S). Approved building repair projects are then
assigned for design and estimating. |
| Requests or projects in excess of $25,000 |
|
Projects in excess of $25,000 are classified as capital projects and
require administrative approval. Those over $50,000 also require Board Office approval.
Major projects over $250,000 also require Board of Regents approval. Whenever the scope of
a request or project approaches $25,000, FP&M will direct the request as appropriate.
Approval may take up to six to eight weeks so please allow adequate lead-time. |
