Air Handler Strategy of 100% Outdoor Air Unit
Energy is recovered from the exhaust and is used to moderate the incoming air.
The supply air is adjusted to be between 57 & 68 degree F based upon an exhaust temperature between 79 & 74 degree F. (this will not be attempted until after October 2003 following the monitoring of the pressure control changes)
When the outside air is below 52 degrees, the DX cooling is shut off.

Animal Rooms:
Unoccupied Condition
Supply box = 0 flow
Exhaust box maintains 0.00 inches of water column set point compared to the clean corridor.
Temperature floats between 65 – 80 degrees
Lighting = Off = minimal lighting is deactivated automatically = minimal lighting by manual wall switch (only).
Occupied Condition
Supply box modulates between the minimum to maximum flow rate to maintain temperature set point.
Exhaust box maintains a differential pressure of (-) 0.03 inches of water column compared to the clean corridor.
Temperature set point is adjustable by user. Temperature floats between +/- 2 degrees of set point.
Temperature critical alarm is +/- 5 degrees.
Lighting = ON = minimal lighting is activated automatically. Full lighting is operated by manual wall switch.

Clean Cooridor:
The area only has two supply boxes. Air is exhausted into the animal rooms.
The supply box adjusts the flow rate to maintain a differential pressure of (-) 0.01 inches of water column compared to outside air conditions. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheats.
