Unit Service Area Control Strategies
AHU1A  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Air Handler Strategy of 100% Outdoor Air Unit Energy is recovered from the exhaust and is used to moderate the incoming air. The supply air is adjusted to be between 57 & 68 degree F based upon an exhaust temperature between 79 & 74 degree F. (this will not be attempted until after October 2003 following the monitoring of the pressure control changes) When the outside air is below 52 degrees, the DX cooling is shut off.
AHU1B  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Air Handler Strategy of 100% Outdoor Air Unit Energy is recovered from the exhaust and is used to moderate the incoming air. AHU1A  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Animal Rooms: Unoccupied Condition Supply box = 0 flow Exhaust box maintains 0.00 inches of water column set point compared to the clean corridor. Temperature floats between 65 – 80 degrees Lighting = Off = minimal lighting is deactivated automatically = minimal lighting by manual wall switch (only). Occupied Condition Supply box modulates between the minimum to maximum flow rate to maintain temperature set point. Exhaust box maintains a differential pressure of (-) 0.03 inches of water column compared to the clean corridor. Temperature set point is adjustable by user. Temperature floats between +/- 2 degrees of set point. Temperature critical alarm is +/- 5 degrees. Lighting = ON = minimal lighting is activated automatically. Full lighting is operated by manual wall switch. Zone Terminal Panel Adjustments by users Occupied / Unoccupied Temperature set point
AHU1B  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Animal Rooms: Unoccupied Condition Supply box = 0 flow Exhaust box maintains 0.00 inches of water column set point compared to the clean corridor. AHU1A  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Clean Cooridor: The area only has two supply boxes. Air is exhausted into the animal rooms. The supply box adjusts the flow rate to maintain a differential pressure of (-) 0.01 inches of water column compared to outside air conditions. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheats.
AHU1B  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Clean Cooridor: The area only has two supply boxes. Air is exhausted into the animal rooms. The supply box adjusts the flow rate to maintain a differential pressure of (-) 0.01 inches of water column compared to outside air conditions. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheats.
AHU1A  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Dirty Cooridor: A single supply box with a constant discharge of 4200CFM flow rate to maintain the corridor static pressure. Exhaust box maintains a differential pressure of (-) 0.05 inches of water column compared to the clean corridor. Temperatures float between 70 – 76 degrees. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheat.
AHU1B  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Dirty Cooridor: A single supply box with a constant discharge of 4200CFM flow rate to maintain the corridor static pressure. Exhaust box maintains a differential pressure of (-) 0.05 inches of water column compared to the clean corridor. Temperatures float between 70 – 76 degrees. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheat.
AHU1A  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Necropsy: A single supply box with a constant discharge of 4575CFM flow rate to maintain the room static pressure. Exhaust box tracks the supply flow rate less an offset (+725CFM). Temperatures float between 70 – 76 degrees. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheats.
AHU1B  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Necropsy: A single supply box with a constant discharge of 4575CFM flow rate to maintain the room static pressure. Exhaust box tracks the supply flow rate less an offset (+725CFM). Temperatures float between 70 – 76 degrees. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheats.
AHU1A  Entire Building, Animal Rooms, Dirty Corridor, Clean Cooridor, Necropsy, Offices, Service Areas  Offices and Service Areas: A single supply box with a constant discharge of xxxxCFM flow rate to maintain the room static pressure. Exhaust box tracks the supply flow rate less an offset (+xxxCFM). Temperatures float between 70 – 76 degrees. Temperature is maintained above 70 degrees by utilizing the reheats.
