2/26/2024 343542 0201C BESSEY 201C - I had an earlier request to fix and paint walls in 201C Bessey, along with moving a whiteboard into that room. The walls were painted and the whiteboard was moved. However, there is some damage that needs to be fixed/painted in 201C, and some work has been left unfinished for quite some time. There's a phone/data box hanging, wall moulding has been removed from the wall and set aside, etc. We are also still waiting for doors to be hung in Bessey 201C - that request was put in on September 12, 2023, around the same time as the initial requests mentioned above - almost 6 months ago. That area is a community workspace for our graduate students, and we have furniture arriving for that space. If that room could be finished up as soon as possible, we would greatly appreciate it. 1/30/2025 417823 GENERAL BESSEY There is a backflow on the west heat system that is leaking. The backflow hasn't been tested since it was installed in 2021 (see picture). The pressure regulator on this system is also not working properly and the system is occasionally over-pressurizing causing water to leak from a relief valve. Kenneth McCabe Closed

3/24/2025 429510 GENERAL BESSEY There is a vent support on the south vent in room 512 that has broken and the vent is no longer operational. The vent in 517A is also not complete, hasn't been fixed and is also not operational and has been that way for some time. The east vent in 515 and the west vent in 518 have both shifted a couple inches and the rack arms are at an angle and the vents won't close properly. The vent support on the shifted vent in 518 is tweaked pretty bad as well and looks like it may break at any time as well. Kenneth McCabe Assigned

5/7/2025 441454 GENERAL BESSEY There are a few leaks on the heating systems for the greenhouse. There is a leak in 505, 506, 514 (2 places), 516, 517. This is a reapplication of a work order that was turned in last fall but had to get closed out because it got too cold to shut down the heat systems. It is now warm enough that we can safely shut down the systems to repair these leaks. The original work order # was 385444. The west heat system backflow is also still leaking and can be fixed when these are shut down for repairs, that is on another work order (417823). Shane Clouser is aware of theses from last year. Stepping out of my office (101 Bessey) into our lobby area (103 Bessey), I can feel a blast of cool air that I cannot feel in my office. If you come to take a look, please avoid mornings. Advisors are meeting with new students every morning from 8am-12pm for new student orientation this week and next. Several of the new students/family members have commented on how warm my office is. We have an unusually large class of incoming biology students for the Fall, and long story short, the classroom that we use for learning team recitations does not have enough seating. The room capacity is large enough, but we need to order some additional furniture in time for the start of classes. Last year, we replaced the chairs in this room and we would like to have an additional 7 of those matching chairs. We'd also need to order two matching tables (1 three-seater and 1 two-seater make up a row in that room).
