4/29/2024 357719 MORRILL Message below received from Caitlin Patton Saturday: Last weekend we had an event where the temperature was unusually warm in the building and gallery area. We were concerned that the A/C system was lowered or even turned off during the weekend, since that would put the art and objects in our galleries at risk due to the changes in temperature and humidity. Today, it was also warm, in addition to some other issues. The lights in the first floor and ground level hallways went out and wouldn't turn back on, even after I tried to flip the switches, and several of the entrances to the building were locked, even though I requested them to be unlocked through the duration of our open house. Can you please check temperature control and lighting? 7/25/2024 377223 MORRILL I would like Gary, or someone in carpentry, to construct a crate for a work of art to be sent to a conservator. It should be made with 1/2" plywood, with blueboard as padding. The interior dimensions of the crate should be (this is without the blueboard): 81x37x30 (Length by width by depth) to be opened with screws, with the lid coming off at the top. The screws for the lid should be marked with circles for easy unpacking by the conservator. The corners should be reinforced with 1x4s. The assigned carpenter can call Sydney at 651-675-9443 if they would like further measurements or to see the sculpture. Sydney Marshall Closed
