Use this form to request permission to fly UAS (unmanned aircraft system) vehicles over the ISU campus.

All uses of UAS for other than ISU research, instruction, or extension must be pre-approved through Facilities Planning and Management (FPM). This applies to non-ISU uses of UAS such as recreation, hobbyist, or commercial.

All of main campus is within 5 miles of the local airport, so permission to operate a UAS will include a stipulation that the pilot must obtain airspace authorization through an FAA Approved UAS Service Supplier.

Requests will be processed within 2 business days of receipt.
