This project will install one or more new emergency and standby power transfer switches, associated cabling, and new electrical distribution equipment to replace the existing transfer switch and existing electrical distribution equipment in their current location in the basement main electrical room of Black Engineering.

We are considering moving Todd Kingston into 1091 Black but he needs a fume hood. How much would it be to put a fume hood in 1091 Black?

The terrazzo flooring is damaged along the expansion joint in this hallway. Please repair the terrazzo floor. Black engineering filled the expansion joint with epoxy and this will need to be removed prior to repairs.

This project will renovate 12,00 net assignable square feet in Black Engineering Building for the Mechanical Engineering Department. Space on the ground and third floors will become available when the Department of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering moves to the Therkildsen Industrial Engineering Building in Spring 2025. This space will be renovated into experimental and computational research labs, offices, and support spaces. Evaluation of the building’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems during the planning phase will inform this renovation. Installing a manifold exhaust system with the potential to be expanded to support labs on multiple floors will provide greater flexibility for research now and in the future.

Expand ME3350 Fluids Lab in 76 Black into adjacent room 74 Black after IMSE moves out. Remove floor tiles, polish and seal concrete after IMSE moves out.
