We would like to include an outlet for a projector in this space.

we would like to get shades for room 054A, replace some water damaged wall covering in 054A and add track lighting similar to 054B

Last year the FCU in this room was replaced, since then faculty teaching have complained that the room is too loud to teach in. So the unit has been turned off. Is there a way to add a rheostat to the unit to make the blower less loud? Or is there an option to change the controls to have the unit cycle on and off with the thermostat?

I would like to see about adding a sink into this room (stainless steel freestanding with a cleanout). This room used to have a sink (I believe).

College of Design Reading Room (111) and miscellaneous first floor office space (158, 158A) In fall 2023, we had engaged the services of an architecture firm, DLR, to help us understand the potential scope of this project. This project scope is limited to interior remodeling on our first floor of the College of Design. In particular the scope includes the remodeling of critical spaces for our ongoing operations and course work. The biggest project is the remodeling the former "Reading Room" space (Parks Library is shutting down operations and moving stacks out of the space) into design studios/classrooms. The first phase of this project will not involve any major demolition, extensive interior partitions, or changes in lighting, electrical, HVAC, sprinkler, or plumbing. It will simply involve new furniture, finishes, and AV installations which we can accomplish working directly with FPM. Eventually, we may have more extensive remodeling, based on what we identify as our long term use needs for this space--again, with the assistance of an architectural firm. There are other smaller miscellaneous interior remodeling projects to support our ongoing recruitment efforts (e.g., convert existing mailroom to open space space/waiting space for visitors, relocating mailroom elsewhere). Minimal changes in interior partitions and doors are necessary but not HVAC, electrical, sprinkler, etc. This will not require architectural services outside of the scope that FPM can provide. Schedule Considerations The ideal schedule for our Reading Room project m! ay not be possible--it depends, in part, on the timing of when Library will have all items moved out of our Reading room space (Room 111). Ideally if they move out by May, we can begin spending some of these funds towards the immediate reconfiguring of the space for our first phase of work. Similar timing for the mail room reconfiguration. Additional funds would be spent in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 for architectural servi

We would like to remove the partitions in 0111A and 0111B. This will require demo work, electrical, network and mechanical. There is a sink in the space that we would like to have converted into a double sink with a cleanout type trap and placed against the back wall (next to the door to the rear corridor into 116). Carpet should also be removed, concrete holes filled and concrete polished to the level of the rest of the room (done the previous summer).

I would like to have an estimate for two additional tables similar to the ones purchased for the office remodeling project in the College of Design last summer. Capital Project CP990455. This is for Carrie.

We would like to lay donated carpet and wall base in the 503-516 suite. We would also like to get a small amount of drywall patching done. Painting will be handled internally.

We would like to add 6 of the Steelcase Ocular Coupe (seated) desks to this room. There are some electrical connections in the room from previous furniture but we may need to use an under carpet alternative to run between the stations. I will need an electrician to check the existing condition of those connections. I would also like to have 24 chairs for this room. They can be a lab type chair without arms just height adjustable (plastic?). This is for Carrie Choudhury

We removed wall from 540,546,552 and 558 several years ago. I would like to get a quote with adding them back in.

The request is for adding whiteboards and acoustic tile to walls in the 540-558 suite. Carrie Choudhury is working on this project

Engineering review of the Domestic Water Heater and associated piping in Design for Code Compliance and safety. Mike McCoy, is familiar with some of the issues and I would like to have him take a closer look, develop a scope of work and cost range to bring this system into code and safety compliance to ISU standards. Examine and create a scope of work, with budget and summer 2025 schedule for the welding, sanding, painting and dirt repair of the sculpture Sequence. Please further investigate any metal corrosion that is a potential health/safety issue if people climb on the sculpture. Project is time sensitive and needs to be accommodated as feasible. After scope of work is defined, coordination with EFCO, Josh Markle, project manager 515. 681.6769 will need to be addressed, as EFCO (DM based company) will likely do welding, sanding and painting of the sculpture under FPM supervison and campus access.
