Current Projects in Gerdin Business Building

We would like to remove the lockers on Ground Floor Gerdin, and replace with bench seating

This project will remodel room 1122 in Gerdin Business Building into a study space and open computer lab. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, removing VCT flooring and replacing with carpet; new paint; adding electrical receptacles and floor boxes; and new furniture.

We would like to update the chairs in two conference rooms: 1301 and 2320 to the Herman Miller Verus chairs that we have in the rest of our spaces. 1301 has 16 seats, 2320 has 20.

We're envisioning a space that is 1/3 computer lab and the remainder to be study space dedicated to the students. Part of the project is to rehome the tall tables and chairs from the Kingland Hub (1450 Gerdin)to help save on some furniture costs, but we would be looking at a pretty large remodel here. New flooring, paint, (potentially) lighting, and new furniture aside from the items we repurpose from Kingland.

This project will replace existing granite pavers and landscaping with new concrete, brick pavers, and landscaping. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: demolition of existing granite pavers; pouring new stamped concrete; installing brick pavers; and landscaping.

This is a continuation of a closed project(392457) to get the same design time together to not duplicate work. We want: Lacy's cubicle (front space, east cubicle) enclosed with taller walls. The back two cubicles to have taller walls (only seating the two existing workstations)

We would like to contract out painting this summer for the following areas to freshen up the spaces from scuffs and wall dings: Seminar room 2117 Seminar room 3164 2nd floor hall 2110, 2115, 2155, 2170 Ground floor hall 0110, 0140, 0440, 0460

We would like to install roller shades in the two windows in this office - the way the space has to be arranged makes it difficult for users to adjust the miniblinds.

We would like to contract exterior window cleaning for this summer. Please provide an estimate before scheduling. Thanks!

Replace carpet, baseboard, risers, and stairnose in the following seminar rooms and classrooms - July 2025: 2117 & 2118 (seminar rooms), 2127, 2128, 2133, 2134 (general university classrooms) Room scheduling and the Provost's office are supportive of this work, and have been communicated with prior to this request. We will need to keep those parties informed of the schedule.

Remove old roll carpet and baseboard and replace with squares and cove base - Brand: Shaw, Style: Disperse, Color: Voyage (brown), installed: ashlar We would like this installed by a contractor - could pair with the classrooms installs in July. We have more than enough attic stock (located in Gerdin basement, will be brought up for the contractor) of both the carpet + base that can be used for this project.

We would like to reconfigure this area to house as many workstations as possible. Most are larger than they need to be currently, and considering taller walls on the interior portion while leaving lower walls on window side. (project spans 2221/2222 space)

We have a classroom in Gerdin that needs new signage outside of the classroom. There are two doors into the classroom, so we will need two signs. Following is the information that needs to be on these signs. Please include braille on the sign. 0330 Skinner Classroom
