Current Projects in Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center

This project will add 21,486 gross square feet of space for a third Ward to the Large Animal Hospital. This third Ward will expand current large animal reproductive services to the State of Iowa and enhance professional student and resident training opportunities in advanced equine sports medicine and large animal reproductive service areas.

This project will renovate over 3,600 SF of interior space (2,500 SF shell) and include an addition of approximately 2,000 SF to develop a Comparative Oncology Center. Located adjacent to the Hixon-Lied Small Animal Hospital, the new pet cancer clinic will include new exams rooms, animal day wards, clinical procedure and support rooms, office spaces, and a client waiting area. The project includes, but is not limited to architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, technology, equipment, finishes, and furniture.

Regulate temperature in ISO 3.

This project will combine rooms 1880 and 1884 in the Lloyd Veterinary Small Animal Hospital into one space, including building an anteroom. Work includes mechanical, electrical, and ventilation alterations, added windows, relocation of doors, and placement of salvaged cabinets and counter space.

Add accessible automatic door opener to exit doors at small animal reception. Add signage for waiting area and restrooms.
