The Lab School in the Palmer Building has several facility related needs. 1) Exterior work to tree roots and sidewalks on the playground which have become tripping hazards. 2) Increased need for security through alarm sensor and key code access. 3) Light construction for a ramp in one of the classrooms. 4) Updating some plumbing fixtures and countertop/cabinetry in the kitchen area. 7/27/2023 - adding scope Remove the outside drinking fountains at the Lab School.

Replace the current moveable seating located in this space. This seating is dated and in poor repair. Leigh and I have talked about this previously as it was originally a part of a previous project. We now have the funds to move forward. 2/27/2024 - Project Re-Opened per Jennifer Van Ryswyk

Child Development Laboratory School - Outdoor playground for infants and toddlers (northernmost playground). The treated wood bridge has become unsafe for children to use. The wood is buckling, and the floor is separating from the railings. It immediately needs to be blocked off so children cannot access it, and it needs to be replaced to match the bridge/decking in the middle playground.

Updating some plumbing fixtures and countertop/cabinetry in the kitchen area

Purple accent wall needs to be painted a neutral color or updated accent color to match Palmer color palette. White board needs to be removed. May be some patch and paint. Leigh Wiand should be the FP&M contact.
