Current Projects in Seed Science

The North wall in this office 102A needs to be painted - some shelving was removed and there are large holes that need to be filled and then the walls need to be painted in the room. The plan is to do the North wall in Red and then the other walls in the white (very much like when we did Office 105A back in 2022. We will also need to order some new furniture for the office like a small round table and 4 chairs, possibly a book case or shelf and a white board.. We just need someone to come and review a design with us and needs. The wall has a a small box in the middle of it and if possible we would like to get it removed if it is no longer needed. Depending on projects and availability, the hope is that this could be done in March when I am out of the office on Medical leave for less work interruption.

I'd like to add additional desk storage, such as cabinets and drawers, that go with the desk that's currently in there.

Obtain an estimate for the purchase and installation of a backup generator for the Seed Science Center cold storage room.

We have an area in the that is set up as a desk area at this time. The lab manager is moving to an office and they will no longer need that desk area. They would like to see about adding shelves for storage, or possible sit/stand work area. We need assistance to figure out what could be done to make this more useable space.

We need an assessment and design plan for our current break room (Rm 158). Items from our Purity lab (Rm 105), like coffee machine and refrigerator need to be moved to the break room space and we need some assistance deciding the most efficient way to reorganize the break room to accommodate these items. The break room will possibly need a few more cabinets with countertop that can be locked and a better way to organize our microwaves. We may need different appliances also. The scope of this project would include both rooms 105 and 158 as we may need to make changes in both areas.

We have 3 rooms maybe 4 in the Seed Science Center that we want to make sure we are using the space in the best possible way. Our space is at a premium in the building and for now we are just looking to get some ideas and thoughts how we can improve the use of our space.
