There is a crack in the first floor glass blowing Gaffer's Guild SICTR 1202 that allows water to leak through concrete the floor into the basement Media Production Suite SICTR 0143, 0142 and 0142A. If there is any mopping or liquid spilled on the floor in the glass blowing area near this crack it leaks down into the media production suite where there is a significant amount of electronic equipment. This is a thick concrete floor so we were surprised it went all the way through. Please address ASAP!

SICTR Needs to replace a large white bar height table in the 1st floor atrium with as close as we can get to the other two we still have. Originally one of these was in 3121A if that helps identify the model. The chairs also have HON tags on them. LAS has offered to replace on their budget out of Start Something Academy Funds fund SG2705672 given they accidently damaged the original beyond repair, however that is not an option on the accounting string below. We have had multiple complaints of excessive noise from the air ducts in both room 1133 and 1118 in SICTR. Both rooms can get noisy enough people cannot hear each other without yelling when the air is flowing. Neither room has a false ceiling and if a wrap or padding added to the ducts in the rooms would not mitigate the noise level, it will likely require a barrier be added between the occupied area of the room and the duct work above. Move furniture from Mackay and LeBaron hall to space. We also need to have EE look at load requirements and determine if we have enough power for what we want to do in there. We have been working with Leigh Wiand and Will Scheller on the other Mackay projects so far; we would like to remain consistent on this as it is part of those larger projects.

Purchase student lockers for Apparel program/courses (AESHM Dept) offered in SICTR.

Please contact Jennifer Frisvold and Wendy Kisch for further information. 03/26/2024 - Project Re-Opened with New Scope The Student Innovation Center would like to resurrect the project listed in the subject line. The previous estimated cost was $32,050. The bids came in under budget and was awarded to Bergstrom Construction. At that time, we ended up canceling the project because the needs changed. Now they have a new, exciting use for the space, and they need a lockable door installed. Per the Provost’s direction, they are creating an Artificial Intelligence Innovation Studio for the university. Please plan to fast track this project, so they can get this studio up and running to meet the university’s needs. Please reach out to Jim Oliver, Dani Orris, and Abram Anders if you have any questions. They may want a quick discussion in case they need any changes from what was previously designed.

Senior Vice President and Provost Jonathan Wickert will be returning to faculty on June 30, 2024. His new office space has been identified as 3133 Student Innovation Center. This space is not currently a faculty office. This request is for design and furnishing as well as tech needs for this space for Provost Wickert. This space would need to be completed by the end of June.

Replacement of original furniture in SICTR 3252. ATTN Rebecca Cantrall

I have received word that we can move our graduate program into this room for Fall 2023 through Mike Miller (College of Design) and need an estimate for 24 Maker flex tables (white legs, white laminate, 48x24, tilting, adjustable height tables). https 3branch.comproductmaker flex We will use existing chairs from the College of Design for these desks.

Sparks Cafe area on 4th floor 1) Short term need: 3 pc's located behind menu displays need to be removed from wall and made accessible for repair 2) Project need: recommendation and price quote to have display cabling routed from TVs to a termination at ground level. Potential options include terminating at prep counter area, or through wall to dry good storage area. Final cable termination point will need network/data access. Preference towards lowest-cost and least invasive solution, and willing to consider in wall or out of wall runs or conduit to solve. Looking for a price quote ONLY to approve/decline before work would begin. IT can be on site during survey to provide further details

Remove existing 4th floor security grille and replace existing security curtain with a manually operated system. The new system would keep existing structural track with minimal lock down posts (5) to be operated outside of grille. The work costs includes modifications to pocket with support of modified track.

There is another loose aluminum cover panel hanging off the bottom of the NW corner of SICTR a couple panels down from where we replaced the last one on Request ID# 253498 last year. Picture attached. Last time this had to be turned into a small project to get it re-attached, PR1226471 (SICTR-General-330146-Exterior Repairs) as it apparently fell outside of the building project's warranty. Can we get this looked at, turned into another project if necessary, and ensure that no other panels will begin to fall off as well? We don't want this to continue to happen and cost $2700-$3100 each individual time.
