Current Projects in Student Services Building

Conference room was recently converted to three office spaces (1010G, 1010GA and 1010GB). Since I have worked in the Dean of Students Office (7 years) the windows in this space have had signs on them to not open since they will not close again. I would like to have the windows evaluated to see if they can be put back into working order since the space is now staff offices. Please schedule a time with Tracy Borts or call head at 515294-7820 before stopping to be sure I am available. Thanks! Or talk to Gary Puls. He is the carpenter that looked at this. We think this will be a trickle down effect and everyone will want to open there windows. Right now most will fall apart if opened or closing them

We are moving all of Student wellness over to the 2010 office area with all those offices in that hallway on the second floor of SSB. We are wanting to upgrade some of our furniture for this move. We have been working a bit with Tracy Borts from DSO who has just completed this process. The carpet/paint we've been told is very similar to the DSO redesign. Shes shared some of the furniture they've purchased, and we imagine we'd want a lot of the same. We already upgraded our office chairs back in April with Procurement.

We need to purchase 1 conference room table and 1 3-person couch with coordinating chair. Finishes should match or coordinate with newly renovated space.

Fire Escape Repairs - Fire Escape Inspection Report in the LX folder and G Drive folder. Bricks appear to be coming loose below the third-floor landing where the fire escape attaches to the exterior of the building. Have the fire escape inspected by a registered design professional and place particular emphasis on this area. By section 1104.16.5.1 this should be repeated every 5 years.
