1196 | Matthew Post | Coover - Room 1313 - Computer Tables COST RANGE WILL BE PROVIDED WE ARE LOOKING TO REPLACE THE COMPUTER TABLES/BENCHES IN COOVER 1313 THIS SUMMER. WE NEED TABLES THAT CAN PROVIDE POWER AND BE MOVED AROUND OCCASIONALLY DURING THE SEMESTER. I'D LIKE TO BE ABLE TO LOOK AT SOME AVAILABLE OPTIONS ON CAMPUS TO DETERMINE IF THERE'S SOMETHING THAT WILL MEET OUR NEEDS. I'D LIKE TO SCHEDULE A BRIEF MEETING ASAP TO DISCUSS OUR NEEDS AND FIND SOME OPTIONS TO LOOK AT. DESIRED COMPLETION DATE: KNOWN TIME CONSTRAINTS: THIS NEEDS TO BE COMPLETED MID-JULY TO BE READY FOR THE FALL SEMESTER. | Open |

104437 | Scott Jasper | COOVER - ROOM M1300 - EXTEND HEATING LINES COST RANGE WILL BE PROVIDED THE ORIGINAL HEATING SYSTEM SERVING OLD COOVER IS NOW 70 YEARS OLD. IT HAS MULTIPLE PIPING LEAKS THAT ARE BEING ADDRESSED THIS SUMMER. THE ORIGINAL HOT WATER CONVERTERS ARE AT THE END OF THEIR USEFUL LIFE AND ARE LIKELY TO FAIL SOON. WHEN NEW COOVER WAS BUILT IN 2007, ITS HEATING SYSTEM WAS DESIGNED WITH CAPACITY TO HANDLE BOTH NEW COOVER AND OLD COOVER. LARGE 4" HOT WATER SUPPLY AND RETURN LINES WERE ROUTED THROUGH THE CRAWL TUNNELS TO CONNECT NEW COOVER TO OLD COOVER AT A FUTURE DATE. PLEASE PROVIDE A COST ESTIMATE TO EXTEND THESE HEATING LINES IN ORDER TO CONNECT THE TWO PARTS OF THE BUILDING TOGETHER. THE INTENT WOULD BE TO LEAVE THE FOUR SMALL CIRCULATION PUMPS SERVING OLD COOVER IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE APPROPRIATE WATER TEMPERATURE TO EACH SECTION OF THE ORIGINAL BUILDING. THESE 4 PUMPS WOULD SERVE AS SECONDARY PUMPS, WITH THE PRIMARY PUMPS BEING THE TWO PUMPS IN NEW COOVER. THE INTENT WOULD ALSO BE TO REMOVE THE TWO ORIGINAL HEAT EXCHANGERS OUT OF THE M1300 BASEMENT. THIS PROJECT WOULD REDUCE THE AMBIENT TEMPERATURE OF THE MECHANICAL ROOM M1300, WHICH NEGATIVELY AFFECTS THE DEPARTMENTAL OFFICE DIRECTLY ABOVE. THIS PROJECT WOULD ELIMINATE SOME DEFERRED MAINTENANCE CONCERNS, AS THE ORIGINAL SYSTEM IS AT THE END OF ITS USEFUL LIFE. THIS PROJECT WOULD FULFILL THE MASTER PLAN FOR THIS BUILDING, AS IT WAS ALWAYS THE INTENT TO HAVE THESE TWO SYSTEMS CONNECTED TOGETHER. DESIRED COMPLETION DATE: KNOWN TIME CONSTRAINTS: THE SYSTEM IS DRAINED DOWN FOR THE SUMMER. THE GOAL WOULD BE TO HAVE THE TWO SYSTEMS CONNECTED TOGETHER BY THE OCTOBER 1ST. DESIRED PROJECT COST: FUNDING CONTACT: NETWAL, JOHN GERARD | Open |
