This is a conference/Seminar Room that is currently set up with the presenter located on the West end of the room. This makes for a long, narrow space. I am wondering about re-orienting the room so the presenter would be on the South side of the room (facing the windows). This would involve moving the white boards, installing a new projection screen, relocating video monitors, providing a new presenter podium, associated wiring, and rehanging the art work in the room. In other words it is not a major renovation but it involves a bunch of moving pieces. Request for the removal of the interior door leaf and door closer adjustment. first request was made sometime in 2021 after a faculty member mentioned that getting in and out of the doors to the Women’s restroom on the first floor is quite challenging. It was determined that accessibility of this restroom really ought to have a powered door opener rather than requiring the user to manually open the door. Faculty member has indicated with her disability she will be working from home until accommodation have been made. Building manager who made first request was Rafael Pluta (has resigned from his position as of 5/26/2022) could not find correspondence with confirmation of initial request. However follow up email was sent to him 5/27/2022 from FPM. His recollection was instructions with official guidance from FPM possibly from Gee Wesley or John Boehmer.
