Notes
This beautiful Eyestopper Cork Tree is given in honor of the September 1, 2013 marriage of our daughter, Lauren Elizabeth Peeler, to Steve White, and in gratitude for her steadfast concern for our environment by our daughter, Alyson Marie Peeler. This tree is the perfect manifestation of life, love and family. Its growth, strength, and longevity will come only from its firm, strong roots, just as it is true with life, love and family. This tree shall represent a peaceful place to gather, a place to share, and a place to find joy. It is our sincerest hope this tree will grow majestically to frame Iowa State’s most beloved landmark, the Campanile. This tree will provide ISU’s Central Campus ever changing colors, textures, shapes and forms with the passing of the seasons, just as they occur in life, love and family. It is our gift of celebration for life, love and family.
Don and Melissa (Brody) Peeler met while both attended ISU in 1979. The seeds of life, love and family were planted in 1981 when they were married following their graduation. Two daughters, Lauren Elizabeth and Alyson Marie, were born to them, and blessed their ISU family. Lauren graduated from ISU in 2007, and Alyson in 2009.
