Contract Administration

The purpose of contract administration is to ensure that the design professional and contractor performs in accordance with all of the terms and conditions of the contractual agreement. On-going and continual monitoring of the design professional and contractor's performance is critical to the success of the contract. Our services include:

  • preparing budgets for the Board of Regents approval process; managing budget throughout project to close-out and final report
  • providing administrative support for the consultant selection process in advertising for requests for proposals, gathering submittals, scheduling selection team meetings, and routing the selection for approvals
  • providing support of development and review of professional agreements
  • overall coordination of the procurement of construction contracts, including formally-bid projects and small project bids
  • assisting with the development and review of the front end bidding documents
  • scheduling and conducting contract pre-bid meetings and bid openings
  • scheduling pre-bid tours, preconstruction meetings, and construction meetings
  • providing overall coordination of the contractor prequalification process
  • preparing and processing construction contracts
  • processing contractor change orders and design professional amendments
  • interpreting construction contracts and professional agreements terms and conditions for compliance
  • processing contractor and design professional payments
  • providing support for Project Managers and Construction Managers
  • providing support for contract claims
  • submitting various project reports to the Board of Regents
